My grandson Jake’s woods, behind his house, and river scenes around Austin were an inspiring subject matter for me whenever I visited Texas. I was always attracted to the different colors of the leaves and trees and sky and I tried to capture these colors in these intimate landscapes of Jake’s woods and other scenes, completed in Austin, in 2009.
