Expressing the structure and color of leaves has always been a fascination for me. I find the form, light, shade, and color intriguing. Contrast this series of California leaves, completed in 2013, with a similar series of Autumn Michigan leaves completed in 1993. The pointed white surface in a few of these drawings, is the edge of my drawing pad.
