In this series of Pacific Ocean seascapes, I reduced the composition to it’s fundamental elements: sky, clouds, sea, breaking waves, sand, walk, and grass lawn, creating an abstraction of horizontal bands of color across the page - constant, yet always subtly different. These ocean scenes were completed on site, at Santa Monica, California and other locations in 2010.
